High School Musical Karaoke Night

For Family night last night we had a fun time. First we had a nice barbecue dinner out on the
back porch. It was fun to enjoy the afternoon shade and pretty Pine Valley Mountains. Then the kids wanted to go swim next door while Rob was finishing wire the pool up. So they did and it was very cold but they still had fun.

Then AJ and Stephanie came over and we had a karaoke night. They each took turns singing songs on the Wii from High School Musical. It was fun to see them perform with each other. It's so fun having cousins live close.

Love Sunday Afternoons

The girls had fun writing letters and drawing pictures for Grandpa and Grandma. Even Heidi had fun - look at that grin. Cute Heidi. Thank you Allie for helping Heidi learn to color. She loves to do just what you do. What great big sisters you both are.

You can see Maegan was working on her Math homework. She is doing good in school. We are very proud of you Megs.

Look at how cute this is....Josh fell asleep in our room. He was watching the living scriptures of Alma the Younger. I think he was just beat.

Rob had fun helping Maegan with her Math and at the same time searching the internet for some Jeep parts he has been saving to order to get his Jeep looking better. I had fun taking pictures of everyone.

Saturday at Lowes

We had to go to Lowe's Saturday to get some things for Rob's parents pool and so we had Heidi and Allie with us. Too funny because Heidi had to wear her sunglasses and bring her cell phone with her. She was talking on it the whole time to Grandma ( the phone is just an old broken phone so she was pretending) Then look at her and Allie in the shopping cart - she is STILL talking. So funny. She sure loves her grandparents. She also loves doing just what I love to do - talk on the phone :) It's funny how the little kids just watch everything we do. Which is a good reason to always try to be doing the best of things. right :)

Friday Night at the Parr Home

Friday night late party at the Parr Family Home. Maegan and her two friends Brooklyn and Lexi made a treat they learned in TLC Foods class. You take a biscuit and marsh mellow and Cinnamon/sugar and roll it and bake it. I totally remember making these in middle school. How funny. They had fun.

So for the family room the carpet was coming on Saturday morning . We had pulled out all of the carpet and we had carpet coving around the walls. I really wanted baseboard. So luckily we looked up in the bonus room and there was some molding - enough to do the family room with baseboard.
So at 5:00 Rob started panting the base board. We were having a neighborhood party out front and so we were visiting and our good friend Dan Gearhart asked if he could help Rob. Dan is a professional door maker etc. Very good work. So at 9:00 p.m Dan shows up with this big cutting saw table and ready to help. Mike Warren was also there to help, another one of our good friends. So the wives, Tiffany and Collen and I were able to visit and have fun just hanging out with each other. It is so nice to have such wonderful friends who share their skills to help each other out. We are very blessed with a wonderful neighborhood and wonderful friends.
So it was midnight when we were all finished. We helped pack up Dan's tools and we now had the baseboards that are PERFECT in every way done by 3 wonderful guys. Thank you for all your help. We love it.

Then on Saturday Morning the carpet came and Brother Rod Parry installed it. He started at 7:30 and did the pad and was done with everything by 11:15. Love it, Love it. It is SO soft and makes the room look brand new. don't you think....Rob said he had to take this picture of me because I was so excited of the new look.

We have all the furniture moved back in and it looks like a brand new house. Thank you for all those that helped on this project. We love it. You can tell the kids love it. They all want to play on it. In fact, Heidi fell asleep on the carpet yesterday. Funny.

Four Wheeling with the Atkin Family

On Saturday the Atkin Family invited us to go four wheeling with them. Maegan and Lexi and Brielle had a fun time riding around together. Josh had fun riding with Kayden. Josh just keeps getting better every time we go riding. Maegan, Josh, Lexi all got some serious air when they were cruising up the hill.

Rob had fun he brought both his four wheeler and his motorcycle...
Bridgit, Allie, Heidi and myself .... we drove the jeep. We even climbed up the sand hill in four wheel drive and we did a little of our own fourwheelin....What fun times....We had to laugh because we only got stuck 2 times. Well not stuck but we had to back down the hill and start over again. It was very hot Saturday. It was fun hanging out with the Atkin Family. Thanks for inviting us.

Grandpa and Grandma Parr's New Pool

Grandpa and Grandma Parr bought the house next door to ours. Can I just tell you the kids are so excited to have them down here. Ron will retire in June and they will move down. They put a pool in and since they are still up in Vernal, I have been taking pictures and sending them so they can see the progress. The cement was just pourded yesterday. It is looking very nice.

Even more exciting news...... Gudrun (Grandma Parr) was just awarded today as "Teacher of the Year" in her district. That is SO awesome! Way to go Grandma Parr. We love you.

Family Home Evening Hiking to the Petroglyphs

For Family Night after we opened presents with Heidi. We all got in the truck and headed to Santa Clara to see some Indian Petroglyphs. We first drove up in the truck on a bumpy road - where the kids were laughing and laughing. Then we realized that there was a fence and so we turned around and went back down and hiked up the road for about 1 mile. Look at cute Heidi Hiking...she say's Heidi walk by her self.... You can see some of the petroglyph images in this picture. It was a fun night. We were also keeping a look out for any arrowheads. I love this time of year in St. George where it's getting warmer but it isn't that hot yet :)

Heidi 2nd Birthday

I can't belive that just 2 years ago little Heidi was born into our family. How we love her and how much joy she brings to our home. She definately gets the attention right now at our house. Her three older siblings adore her and are always playing with her. I took a personal day so I could stay home with her and play. Her friend Abbigail Jenkins came over to play with her. Amy and Drew and their kids were still in town and so we all played out on the playground in the backyard. It was a beautiful day. Addison and Heidi had fun swinging together. I kept trying to take a picture of Heidi holding up 2 fingers but she never would. She wouldn't wear the birthday crown either. She must be turning 2...haha. When Maegan got home from school, her and Lexi made Heidi a birthday cake.

Allie turns 8 years old

On Friday April 4, 2008 Allie turned 8 years old. She was so excited because she says, this is a special birthday because she gets to be baptized. She wanted to have her birthday part at the new Hidden Valley Park. So we had her friends come over at 2:30 and then we loaded up and headed to the park. They had such a fun time. I had planned about 6 fun games to play with the kids but they were having so much fun on all the playgrounds and splash pad that after an hour of playing, then we opened presents, had cake and got ready to head home. It was fun because The Wilcox Family (Rob's Sister Amy) who live in Vernal were down and so they drove right to the park for the party. AJ who is Allie's age was able to be to her party. It was fun to have them there. Grandpa and Grandma Parr were also there. Dad, Grandpa and Uncle Drew sat at the park table and watched the presents why the kids played. Thank you. Josh and his friends even had fun playing at the park. So if you are in St. George soon, you will definately have to check out this fun park. Grandma Dixie took Allie shopping on Saturday and picked her out some beautiful gold earings and a cute outfit. They also went to lunch with Andy and Stephanie and she got her number 8 pizza from the Pizza Factory. Bill (the owner of Pizza Factory) gave her a cute pink t-shirt that says Pizza Factory on it. She had a fun time shopping with Grandma and watching her cousin Stephanie dance. What a fun little gymnist you are Allie. She tumbles and twirls and flips all day long. She is our little "gumby" flexible girl who just drops in the middle splits in no time. Happy Birthday Allie we Love you very much!!
